Sometimes things aren't as they seem.
But that doesn't mean you can't always see the fun and light in something "gross".
The Challenge
Create a work for an exhibit "take it back"
My Work
I created a light sculpture designed to generate an emotive exploration in onlookers.
The sculpture seemingly made of glass is actually created from condoms filled with a solution. Set at human height to encourage play, the off-kilter work wanted to challenge the perception of beauty when created from taboo materials.
The sculpture was destroyed at the end of the event.
